What is a DeviceNet power supply?

DeviceNet is an open sensor/actuator bus system used throughout the world. The field bus is supplied with power via two wires of a multi-conductor cable.

The special features of DeviceNet power supplies include:

  • The nominal currents are adapted to the DeviceNet cables.
  • The large capacitors of the bus participants can be charged in the specified time.
  • The output voltage increases within the DeviceNet timing specification.
  • The output voltage is adjusted precisely to the DeviceNet voltage.

PULS has two power supplies for this bus system: QS5.DNET and QS10.DNET.

Both devices have been tested by the Open DeviceNet Vendor Association (ODVA), an independent users’ organisation, and have the “DeviceNet Conformance Tested” mark of approval.
